'Colourism'; Creating Space for Conversation, Communities & Culture
Summary
I'm going solo! This episode is a bit of a different one, because this topic is more personal to me as a host.
As you may or may not know, the 'Colourism' campaign took place in libraries across the city in October with a grand finale hosted by Solent University, in celebration of Black History Month.
I attended two events with my dad, and I'll be sharing my own experience, reflections and feelings around the topics of identity, community, culture, creating space for conversation and my inner struggle with my mixed heritage.
The exhibition's Creative Director was Anthony Smith.
